Marcia McMullen is a writer, researcher, and editor who's spent years thinking about one question: what does it actually look like when one person changes the course of another's life?
Her first book, Because You Believed in Me: Mentors and Protégés Who Shaped Our World (Andrews McMeel, 2002), co-authored with Patricia Miller, explored that question through stories from history. Those stories led to a second volume, this time featuring voices from today.
